I dropped about 30 lbs after my divorce, not a really healthy way to lose but it was a good jump start. Now I have about 45 more lbs to lose before I get to my goal weight. I'm pretty sure I can do this and keep it off. I'm ready for the life change and am making great progress. I'm excited to be back in the Spark community and plan on sticking with it for good this time around.
My main goal is to get to 140lbs. I want to go shopping!! lol
My other goal is to start exercising. I don't do it, I hate it, but I know I need to do it to really lose the weight.
I am tracking everything that goes into my mouth...even when I know I'm going to go over my calories...no denial! I've started using my Wii Fit again and have purchased a couple of new exercise dvds to use with it. I'm hoping this will be a good motivator for me to get out there and start exercising. I don't want to lose all of the weight only to look like a little old, saggy woman! My motivation is getting stronger with the more weight I lose!
My name is Wendy and I live in Nashville, TN. I have been a member of Spark since 2009 but have only recently taken it seriously. After my divorce, I decided that I needed to lose the weight so that I could feel better about myself. So far, even though I still feel "fat", I'm starting to feel better about myself and it's only going to get better. I love to spend time with my son, read, watch tv (Grimm, Once Upon a Time, NCIS and Law & Order SVU are some of my favorites). I'm working on getting out more and have recently started taking walks after work, at least when it's not raining. I hope to meet more Spark people and maybe make a few friends.

Hey! Thanks for commenting on my blog. Weight loss has been a long, strange journey, all right.
I read on your page that, like me, you're having a tough time convincing yourself to exercise. I wish I could say that I was a good little Spark and exercised every day, but I really don't like to tell lies. The good new is that I lost almost all of my weight with just diet, and precious little exercise. Unfortunately, I can sum up the bad news in two words: LOOSE SKIN. I look like a nice, thinner Sharpei puppy, with saggy baggy stuff on my thighs, butt, underarms, and belly. If I had it to do over again, I would make myself walk every day.
I'm type 2 diabetic, and even with the weight loss, I recently was told I have developed slightly high cholesterol and slightly elevated blood pressure, plus my sugar levels haven't gone down as I had hoped. So, about a week ago, I started making myself walk about 30 minutes every day. I can't test the cholesterol, but my sugar immediately dropped to the normal range.
Dang it. That means that exercise really does work...grumble, grumble.

Thanks for the comment on my blog :) The first try i was bad with cordination aswell. Some moves i still have issues with but the songs with wii zumba 2 you can learn the moves with practice so its nice, but more times needed to be done with zumba to get it perfect right lol.
