Hi, my name is Wendy.
I came to sparkpeople for the nutrition tracker and I stayed for the support. I know that I am mentally and physically strong enough to be living the life I want to live. I just need to get with it! I got married in 2004 and basically turned into a baby making machine. I had 3 children in under 4 years. The changes to my body were depressing and daunting. It seemed like I would never be able to get MY body back. I've realized that if I keep living with that mentalitly I would sabotage my efforts entirely. I decided that I am worth the effort.

I was looking at my sparkpage and re-read my original about me (above) I have come to realization that I am so much stronger than I have EVER given myself credit for. I have lost 25 pounds since Jan and 29 pounds since joining sparkpeople last year. People ask me how I've done it and honestly it's simple. Once I made my mind up, the pieces have fallen into place. I hope YOU are achieving your goals as well. Remember you can do it!

1-4-2011
I worried about the day(s) when I would no longer log in to sparkpeople and track my calories. I worried about gaining and putting myself on the back-burner. Unfortunately those days came this past fall. I wasn't holding myself accountable and I slipped. I fell into old habits and I just about slunk into a depression. For some reason, that always happens around the holidays :( BUT I picked myself up from my bootstraps and I kicked those negative feelings to the curb! I am back baby!
Looking forward to a positive and healthy year. Mind Body and Soul.

Wow, where has this year gone? This has been a happy and rewarding year, however my weight loss goals fell to the wayside sometime near spring Ha. Oops. I slowly packed on lbs over the summer :( I recently started a weight loss challenge with some friends and I have made some cuts to my portions and added walking back into my regimen. I'm not looking to lose a bunch, but I want to fit into my clothes again! Grrr

I am doing my best to track my calories, it's been the MOST effective method I've found. I aim to eat 1300-1700/cal a day.
Get active! Walk as often as I can, light weights @ home.
