I'm Still Standing!

The hurricane force winds of life seem to want to plow me under, but, but no matter how the winds of life try to knock me down, like the flowers in my yard, I am resilient. I remain steadfast and immovable to my convictions of faith, truth, hope, and family. And, I hope, like my flowers, my inner beauty shines through!

My Goals:
1. Find more foods I can eat.
2. Find a creative way in which to exercise without doing damage.
3. Define my boundaries.
4. Live each day as a gift for myself, my God, my husband, my children, and my grandchildren.

My Program:
1. Follow Dr.s' protocol which includes exercise, meds, nutritional supps, and SLEEP.
2. Stay positive.
3. Work on boundaries and respect my limitations.

DES Daughter
APS (Anti-phosphilipid Anitbodies Syndrome)
Auto-immune disorders
Hyper-allergies to food, clothing, outside agents, etc.
Liver and Kidney damage
About ready to accept diagnosis of Fibromyalgia although it doesn't quite fit.
Live life surrounded by pillows!

Congrats on taking the first step into changing your life to a more healthier one by joining the site. Spark is filled with amazing people that will motivate, support and encourage you on your journey. There is so much to learn and discover here, take this one day at a time. A couple of things I would like to suggestion to make you Spark experience a great one.

1. Make goals for yourself. Each month I make a list of what I want to accomplish that month and break them down to smaller goals to work with week by week. This way the BIG picture doesn't seem so big.

2. Join Spark teams. There are tons of teams here and you will be able to find ones that fit to what you like or want in a team.

The key to success here is to be active and you've already started by joining. You will find that everyone is willing to help you out if you need it. Spark friends are here for support, motivation and encouragement. Good luck on your journey to a healthier lifestyle! Again, welcome to the SP family!

emoticon emoticon emoticon ANY time is a great time to start...especially with Sparkpeople. Give yourself a big hug for making this positive choice for yourself. Take your time to explore all the resources available for you here. It can seem overwhelming because there are so many resources to choose from. Two to consider using are the Nutrition and Fitness Trackers. Also, check out Spark Teams under the COMMUNITY Tab. Do searches on your goals, interests, hobbies, whatever. Then join one, two or more Spark teams. You'll enjoy getting to know these folks and giving and getting lots of encouragement along the way. It's all good. Enjoy the journey!

You will find everything you need to be a healthier you. Members are really knowledgeable and supportive.
One of the best ways to stay motivated and accountable, is to be active on your Spark Teams. It's also a good way to make new friends with similar interests.
