Putting myself first

Hi. I'm looking to lose a few pounds. I'm not overweight but have turned lumpy like most other moms in America. My metabolism has slowed to a crawl and I need to be more active to stay fit. I'm making sure I squeeze some me time into the family calendar!

My Goals:
Find a healthy recipe each week to try.

Stay within 1500-1600 calories a day.

Lose 15 pounds by June 1, 2009.

Run the Tiger 5K in 30 minutes (June 2009).

My Program:
Use Sparkpeople.com to journal food and connect with people who have the same goals and interests.

Walk 30 minutes 3 times a week.

Yoga or Pilates once a week.

Two other programs at the YWCA 2 times a week.

Weigh in on Fridays.

Personal Information:
I grew up in Topeka but moved to Meriden when we got married. I have one grown daughter, two more in school and one new grandson. I work full time in Topeka and spend most of my time watching the girls play sports.
