Weigh to Wellness

I am a proud member of the Midnight Mustangs for BLC 20!

Slowly but surely, I'm on my way to wellness. I'm gearing up to slim down, and I'm doing it with a combination of exercise (especially weight training) and improving my food choices and portions.

Slowly but surely, I'm on my way to wellness. I'm gearing up to slim down, and I'm doing it with a combination of exercise (especially weight training) and improving my food choices and portions.

I'm using Dr. Mark Hyman's book, "The Blood Sugar Solution," as my primary guide for reducing chronic inflammation and improving overall health. The focus is on whole foods, increased vegetable and fruit intake, organic where possible and non-GMO, limited flours and sugars.
I'm also tracking my food, mood, and fitness to document my progress.

Mid-September 2012: I've started walking 3 miles/5K most days of the week. I'm averaging 20 (sometimes 19) minutes per mile. I intend to start the Couch to 5K interval training program to increase my endurance and speed. I would like to complete a 5K walk/run in less than 30 minutes by the end of 2012 (or perhaps on New Years Day, 2013).

I want to be well.

Sorry you're feeling down! Could it be a change in the weather? Some people get seasonal mood disorders when it gets cloudy or overcast or when it turns cold. I saw lots of positives in your post though!
