I'm in the process of finishing a major project (me) that I started several years ago. It involved joining Weight Watchers and dropping 100lbs. Having done that and plateaued (actually - got cocky and started to slide upwards ever-so-slightly), I decided that it was time to finish my project once and for all.

I've attained a lifestyle that's far and away more healthy than anything I've ever experienced. I've got a handful of 5K runs under my belt, two 10Ks and I now have my sights ...

~ ** Train for a 10km - DONE!
~ ** Run the Sporting Life 10km in May 2010 - DONE in 1 hr. 24 minutes! :-)

Thanks for visiting my blog about my "Twitter exchange", and letting me know that I was not being over-sensitive!!! My brother and his girlfriend both mentioned to me that they had seen what he was saying, and apparently SPD is the same way to his girlfriend and she's always calling up my brother moaning about how he treats her!!! Guess he's got issues of his own. I gotta pity him and ignore him!

Thanks for your kind comment and for adding me as a friend. I wish I were a skinny runner type, but I'm not, and it hasn't stopped me from completing a lot of races. You might not set any records, but you will earn the same medal as the winner and have the satisfaction of accomplishing something special. That self respect goes a long way in motivating me! Do the training, embrace the pain, and get ready for an incredible rush when you cross the finish line! emoticon
