Leading By Example

I'm working towards being healthier in order to be a good role model for my family and friends. I have already lost 65 lbs. before joining sparkpeople by working out with a trainer and doing strength training. I'm looking for support to help get me to lose that last 30 or more lbs. to go.

Update (9/12): I am getting married!!! I only have 7 months left and I want to look good in a bathing suit on the honeymoon!

Update(5/13): I'm married!! I did not reach my goal ...

Update(5/13): I'm married!! I did not reach my goal weight. The anxiety really added the weight on during the month of April. I was completely thrilled though with the wedding and couldn't be happier. We have a Hawaii honeymoon in August which I am going to commit to losing weight for that now. :)

My Goals:
I am trying to lose at least 1 lb./ week. My mini goal is to lose 5 lbs. by August!

I have moved my spa gift certificate to be my reward when I make my goal for August!

I am completely motivated to see 150'ville by the end of this summer!

My Program:
I am currently exercising with strength training and then cardio to help lose body fat percentage 5x/ week. For the month of July the plan is to workout 5x/week. I am doing workouts planned from sparkpeople and Jillian DVD's with cardio. I also joined sparkdiet to help get me back into my routines.

Update on JM's BR... perhaps i'm a super weenie, but i can't seem to really get into it. Have only been doing phase 1 week 1, not exactly on schedule, but i've been trying. perhaps it would be different for you, but i'm not a super fan at this time. gonna work on getting some other cardio in instead, and perhaps occasionally do one of those workouts.

Hey Wee, honestly I have really been watching portion control. Exercise, I have yet to do real exercise. I have always had jobs and a lifestyle that was very sedentary. But I started a new job back in May and I'm running around a busy department store all day carrying clothes, shelves, etc. The best I can really say is just keep moving. Thank you for your comment. I know you can do it too! I was always the big girl my entire life. It's so strange to know I'm thin now, but not feel like it.

weeeellll, regarding JM's body revolution... the thing is, i'm kinda of restarting it now. my previous start didn't really go past day 1... super fail. so, the verdict is still out.

emoticon for discarding cake left-overs. It's hard but it's better when we are trying to lose weight. I also throwing food away especially when I think of all those who have no food. I know I'm doing it for a greater purpose and you too. Have a healthy and fit day emoticon
