Leading By Example

I'm working towards being healthier in order to be a good role model for my family and friends. I have already lost 65 lbs. before joining sparkpeople by working out with a trainer and doing strength training. I'm looking for support to help get me to lose that last 30 or more lbs. to go.

Update (9/12): I am getting married!!! I only have 7 months left and I want to look good in a bathing suit on the honeymoon!

Update(5/13): I'm married!! I did not reach my goal ...

Update(5/13): I'm married!! I did not reach my goal weight. The anxiety really added the weight on during the month of April. I was completely thrilled though with the wedding and couldn't be happier. We have a Hawaii honeymoon in August which I am going to commit to losing weight for that now. :)

My Goals:
I am trying to lose at least 1 lb./ week. My mini goal is to lose 5 lbs. by August!

I have moved my spa gift certificate to be my reward when I make my goal for August!

I am completely motivated to see 150'ville by the end of this summer!

My Program:
I am currently exercising with strength training and then cardio to help lose body fat percentage 5x/ week. For the month of July the plan is to workout 5x/week. I am doing workouts planned from sparkpeople and Jillian DVD's with cardio. I also joined sparkdiet to help get me back into my routines.

Thanks for the spa visit!! I could use a massage right about now. I am 100% a caregiver for my husband. Sometimes I don't know where I get the strength to do the things I do. He has fallen 7 times in the past 5 days and I have had to pick him up from the floor. He only weighs 124, but it feels like a lot more than that when I don't get any help from him. Today the nurse called me and I asked him for a hospital bed. I have been helping him get around since last Tuesday by checking on him every 10 minutes to make sure he is not getting up by himself. Having the hospital bed will help me out. I will have it in my living room, where I spend most of my day, and I will know right away if he needs to get up or tries to get up by himself.
I have not been on SP very much myself. I miss it a lot. I miss being able to track everything and blogging so I can see what my friends write to me. You ALL are so much of an encouragement to me!! I love you all!! Thanks for your prayers and for checking in on me!! May God Bless you and your family too!! Have a GREAT day.

Thanks for the friend add and encouragement on maintenance. I added you too. :-) My eating has been off kilter the past week and a half but I am getting back on track. Exercise has remained strong at least. Good luck with the additional weight loss. I'd like to lose 3-5 lbs myself but can live with my current maintenance range.
