i'm trying to lose fifty pounds this year and then go from there.

I've always been heavy. I was a chubby child and obese adult. I lost eighty pounds once but i'm finding it more difficult this time around. When I lost it the first time, i was younger, had less stress, and was more active. As soon as I lost it, I slowly crept it back on with the bulk of it being gained in 2005, which was the worst year of my life!!!! Dealing with depression, death, an abusive marriage, medical ...

Dealing with depression, death, an abusive marriage, medical and financial issues led me to turn to food more. I've never learned a better way to cope with stress other than emotional eating. I'd like to stop it once and for all. Anyone with a similar issue should join the Emotional Eaters message board.

Reasons I need to lose: The health issues in my family are numerous. I'm feeling tired and cranky alot lately. My back and feet hurt. I also have become less social since the weight gain. there were many things I wanted to do during my college experience but i let the weight stand in the way. Now I'm finished and it's too late. I want to travel. I want a family some day and I want to be healthier if I have to carry a child. There are new fashions that would look better on a less full body. The reasons why I need to lose weight are so many. I could go on and on.

Anyway, I'm trying hard and I'm going to take this thing one day at a time. Finding this website was a God send. My brother, who's a health nut lol, referred me and I'm glad he did.

i have not been exercising :( but working on it

water 8 glasses but it's crystal light so i'm working on that

Personal Information:
originally from Illinois but I moved to Georgia about a year ago

i've always been heavy. I lost 80lbs once but gained it all back plus 15. Eating right is getting easier and easier but i still struggle with it daily. if i mess up that day i go downhill from there.

Other Information:
I like history, travel, movies, music, singing.

I'm glad you are getting something from the list. Thanks for stopping by. By reading your home page I see that we have some similar things in common. The details of stresses are different, but our reactions are similar.
