Focusing on the Changes to get the Results

I have lost over 100 pounds from my highest non-pregnant weight. I am thrilled with my progress and want to get to a healthy weight according to chart and graphs.

I have been overweight practically my whole life. I've tried over and over to break out of my emotional eating. I've gotten frustrated in the past when it didn't happen quickly enough. This time, I'm in it for good! I will get to and maintain a healthy weight! I will be a postive, powerful role model for my daughter!

My Goals:
I want to be a healthy, active role model for my daughter. I want her to see that anyone can do anything they truly decide to do IF they want it badly enough. The only way to teach her that is through example. I'm the mama....she'll do what I show her...NOT what I tell her!

My Program:
I am working my way off of following the Nutrisystem program. I have achieved great success using it and am now working towards finding a balance without relying on prepackaged meals or making foods off limits. I want balance!

Personal Information:
I'm 51 years old, married with a 11 year old daughter. I'm a 2nd grade teacher, and live in a suburb of Houston, Texas.

Other Information:
If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always got.

Seriously!

Quotes I like:

"The problem with change is that one change is never enough... In order to have the life you want you have to be willing to give up the life you have."

******THE ROAD OF LIFE HAS MANY TURNS******

Sometimes the road of life takes us to a place we had planned....

Sometimes it shows us a surprise around the bend we could never have anticipated. We make decisions based on the information we have...We accept our ups and downs as they come...We live "one day at a time."

But often we find it is only when we look back that we can see that what we had thought was a "wrong turn" has brought us to exactly the right place and every step was a right one after all!!

Thank you for letting me share this with you!!

I am sending something that is so true, but humorous....ENJOY!!!

---------------TOP TEN REASONS GOD CREATED EVE---------

10. God worried Adam would be lost in the Garden of Eden, because he wouldn't ask for directions.

9. God knew that someday Adam would need someone to hand him the remote. (It has been noted that men don't want to know what's ON TV, they want to see WHAT ELSE is on).

8. God knew that Adam would never make a Dr.'s appointment.

7. God knew that when Adam's fig leaf wore out, he would never buy a new one for himself.

6. God knew that Adam would never take out the garbage.

5. God wanted Adam to be fruitful and multiply, but he knew Adam would never be able to handle labor pains and childbirth.

4. As "keeper of the garden", Adam would need help in finding his tools.

3. Adam needed someone to blame for the Apple incident, and for anything else that was really his own fault.

2. As the Bible says, "It is not good for man to be alone.

1. And the No. 1 reason of all (Tada, drum roll, fanfare) God stepped back, looked at Adam and declared " I can do better than that".......(AND HE DID)

----------HAVE A VERY WONDERFUL WEEKEND---------------

""STAY POSITIVE""

Oftentimes our path seems to be filled with roadblocks,
and we wonder why life is so difficult.
Things happen that leave us feeling as though we
have little control over our circumstances.
This is a time to remember that hope is a gift we can give to
ourselves...

When we choose this attitude and tap into our inner
reserves, we are rewarded with the knowledge of
what we have learned in life.
The decision to look forward, stay positive,
and remain hopeful is a key that unlocks the door
to possibilities, and, when shared, returns to renew the spirit.

This is a message I want to share,
Just to show you how much I care.
