It is important to know yourself in this fitness game. I KNOW that I can not do this alone. Meaning: I need classes to get the most from my workout. I have tried "going at it alone," since June and the results have not been pretty: decreased cardio capacity, increasing resting heart rate and blood sugar levels, decrease HDL. I just do not work as hard or as consistently as when I am in a class setting. Sure, I was taking a spin class 3 - 4 times per week but that was not enough. After scoping a step class for 6 weeks, I finally took a deep breath and went in. GREAT CLASS!!! Was I able to do every step, NO but I modified and still got a good work out. At times the class was in front of the step and I was behind; I just laughed , turned around and kept going. I LOVED the class. It was great cardio and we did toning at the end. Def going back and def going to check the gym schedule to mix it up.
Change is def good for me!!!!
Next : kickboxing!!!!!!

"What is your secret to the weight loss, they all want to know; in a thousand different ways they wanted to know The Secret. And not one of them is ever prepared, truly prepared, to believe that it has nothing so much to do with chemicals , wacky diets and zippy mental tricks as with the most profound and sometimes heartrending process of removing, molecule by molecule, the very tough rubber that comprised the bottom of my training shoes. The more molecules that I remove , the more weight I lose; it is that simple"

It is one of my go-to phrases now as well. It's a powerful statement and motivates me in so many ways, especially after seeing the Misty Copeland ad. If you haven't seen the ad, check out my blog for 09/03/2014.

I hope you're having a blessed day; the first day to a very productive week! emoticon

Happy September to you!! emoticon How are things going with you? My September didn't start off great at all, I started the month off with a terrible allergy attack. I've been really sick for the past 4 days but I'm finally getting back to normal. Now I'm just trying to get over that drugged out feeling. Today will be my first day of working out so I'm already behind in my fitness minutes. But what can you do, nothing, I'll just do what I can and not stress over it. My goal is to loose 4 pounds by Oct. 3, my 60th birthday. Yeah, the big 6-0!! Have a wonderful day! emoticon

emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon for your response to my blog about my body fat percentage. I just read it and what you say makes perfect sense! I have no way of knowing what it was before I started getting serious about getting fit. It only shows what it is right now. That is a much better perspective than my woe is me attitude. I haven't really done anything since I got the number, I'm regrouping and will get back to my routine on August 1st. I'm just giving myself some time to relax my mind, body, and spirit. I plan to get my percentage measured again in January. Thanks again!!!
