It is important to know yourself in this fitness game. I KNOW that I can not do this alone. Meaning: I need classes to get the most from my workout. I have tried "going at it alone," since June and the results have not been pretty: decreased cardio capacity, increasing resting heart rate and blood sugar levels, decrease HDL. I just do not work as hard or as consistently as when I am in a class setting. Sure, I was taking a spin class 3 - 4 times per week but that was not enough. After scoping a step class for 6 weeks, I finally took a deep breath and went in. GREAT CLASS!!! Was I able to do every step, NO but I modified and still got a good work out. At times the class was in front of the step and I was behind; I just laughed , turned around and kept going. I LOVED the class. It was great cardio and we did toning at the end. Def going back and def going to check the gym schedule to mix it up.
Change is def good for me!!!!
Next : kickboxing!!!!!!

Good morning my SparkFriend!!! Just stopping by to say Hey! And to let you know that I'm still on this journey with you! I'm finally 5 pounds away from my goal but now my goal has changed from the number of pounds on the scale, to the percentage of fat on my body. I'm starting a journey to a lower body fat percentage. Yes, that's my goal right now. You may remember my blog about getting my body fat tested a few months ago, well, I'm getting it retested in Jan. Sooo, I'll be doing my ST than cardio, I'll get leaner (at least that's the plan) but the numbers on the scale may not go down, they may even go up. I'll deal with that when and if it happens. Anywho, that's the long and short of it! Happy Autumn

Happy September to you!! How are things going with you? My September didn't start off great at all, I started the month off with a terrible allergy attack. I've been really sick for the past 4 days but I'm finally getting back to normal. Now I'm just trying to get over that drugged out feeling. Today will be my first day of working out so I'm already behind in my fitness minutes. But what can you do, nothing, I'll just do what I can and not stress over it. My goal is to loose 4 pounds by Oct. 3, my 60th birthday. Yeah, the big 6-0!! Have a wonderful day!
