I WILL WHAT I WANT - FROM MY SP FRIEND PLATINUM55

Looking back , I have lost 100 pounds and looking forward I would like to lose 30 more BUT neither of those things are the here and now and to be honest that is all we have ...is the here and now. This time , this moment , this chance to live and enjoy. It has taken a longer time to regain my physical strength after having surgery and devoting the last 4 months to finishing my Associates degree. Instead of impatiently waiting for the future stronger "me " to arrive - I am loving the here and now me. The here and now me has brought me to this moment in time and I am going to appreciate the body that I am in. This is the body that has completed 4 half marathons, countless 5k's, assisted other friends in training for races, gave birth to 2 children, and drives me to and from work 5 days per week . This body has served me well and I must pay homage to my body instead of looking at myself in disgust for what it is not. Each morning I will stand alone with my body , look at myself and proclaim that I love my body ...it has served me well and I LOVE ME!!

"What is your secret to the weight loss, they all want to know; in a thousand different ways they wanted to know The Secret. And not one of them is ever prepared, truly prepared, to believe that it has nothing so much to do with chemicals , wacky diets and zippy mental tricks as with the most profound and sometimes heartrending process of removing, molecule by molecule, the very tough rubber that comprised the bottom of my training shoes. The more molecules that I remove , the more weight I lose; it is that simple"

Good morning and WOW! I'm so impressed with your fitness minutes for the month!!! You are doing great with getting it in!! My goal was for 1500 minutes this month, so far, I have 555. Yeah, I'm a little behind schedule, but, I'm going to try to get as close as possible. I'll be happy with that! Have a great week! emoticon

I had to chuckle at your observation about "The Secret" being removing the rubber on the bottom of your training shoes molecule by molecule! I am going to enjoy thinking about that tomorrow when I work on that very project. And I am also inspired that your fitness level helped you recover more quickly from surgery. My father had a similar experience with healing from surgery when he was in his early 80's. He walked several miles almost daily, and it made such a difference. Anyways, thanks for the new thought nugget!
