I am looking to try to push myself to lose some weight, which is a challange since I am currently taking thyroid medications due to my thyroid being destroyed because of graves disease. I am finding it very difficult to get the weight off, as the doctors constantly have to modify the meds. My Goals:
I am hoping to lose 47 pounds or more if possible. And want to tone up. I would love to reach my goal by the end of June 2008, however would be happy to get half way there. I want to prove to my husband that I CAN do it, and I will do it. With or without his support. My 7 year old son Joey loves to "walk" on the machines, so he will be my little support system. He tells me if I should not eat something, and makes me think about it.

My Program:
To start I want to walking daily. Then I need to get back on track and stop drinking soda and juices, get back to the water. Start eating healthier, and packing lunches so I am not eating processed foods from the fast food restuarants. This itself should help. I have recently purchased a gazelle machine, and have a treadmill, so I am hoping that by working out on these I can move among a little quicker.

Personal Information:
I am a married mother of 2 children. Our family consists of My husband Joe, our kids Joey 7, and Erica 17. And our 2 dogs
Dakota and Maxine Von Miller. We live in Dover, PA (actually in the back woods of Dover, in the middle of nowhere).

Other Information:
I work outside the home fulltime, and have lots of school activities, so at times it is challenging to find time to exercise and
take time to keep myself on track. That is why I am here hoping to be inspired by everyone else pushing for their goals.

hi Wanda,
Sorry I haven't written. I guess I've just been feeling sorry for myself. It seems that the harder I'm trying to lose this weight the more I gain. I weighed in last week and I had gained 10 more pounds. I don't know how. Thats a total of 30 lbs. since Dec. when I started this stupid medicine. I just don't know what to do to lose it. Now I have to go on Saturday for bloodwork and a sonagram on my upper abdomen. The dr. seems to think I have either a peptic ulcer or gallbladder problems. I personally think their gong to find a large hernia. I already have a small one. Whatever it iswhen I bend over or stretch any I can feel something pull and whatever it is , is under my ribs and feels like its pushing upward with a lot of gas in there. Sometimes I wonder if having that RAI has been worth it. I guess it has but I just tired of feeling bad all the time. I need some encouragement. emoticon
