My New Healthy Lifestyle

I have been a member of SP since May 2011. I have been half heartily using the site to help me track my food intake, exercising and weight loss. Today (August 2013), I am re-committing myself to my new healthy lifestyle. When I started on SP, I had a beautifuly 18 month old boy. I now have a handsome 3 1/2 year old and an adorable 1 year old. I gained close to 60 lbs with my 2nd pregnancy and have yet to lose any of it. I'm having high blood pressure issues and I'm borderline diabetic. I ...

My Goals:
My weight loss goal is to lose 50-60lbs by the end of the year.
My fitness goal is to work out consistently 6 days a week incorporating both cardio and strength exercises.

My Program:
I'm reducing my daily calorie intake to 1,350-1,700.
I'm walking 20 minutes everyday on my work breaks and I'm walking/running at least 3 days/wk for 30 minutes. I'm also doing fitness DVD's for more cardio and strength exercises.

Personal Information:
I'm a mom to 2 beautiful boys. I want to lose weight not only for myself, but also for them. I want to be a good role model for them when it comes to healthy eating and being active.

going to bed early is my best defense - and it has a double benefit - not only do I keep myself from bingeing (which the late night snacking sometimes turns into for me) but I also get the weight loss benefit of getting enough sleep (WIN-WIN!)

how have you been doing? I have been thinking about you a lot lately because of the status about your grandfather - hope you are doing okay

Way to go!!!!! I am going to walk 5 miles this evening with my best friend. Are you still doing the 30 day shred? I did that for the first time this morning. Jillian is CRAZY wow what a workout!!!
