I'm a huge book nerd. I was an English Lit major, so I have a ton of favorites.

My most recent picture, though the camera's angled for optimal flattery.

You Are What You Repeatedly Do
I want to be healthy. I want to be able to run and hike and bike and climb with my friends around here. I want to feel proud of what I see in the mirror instead of wanting to hide it. I want to start using the word "am" instead of "want." I AM ready to make this change. I have a new motto. I found it while searching for inspirational sayings. It perfectly reflects how I feel about the rut I'm in and the life I wish to lead. It boils down to one sentence: "You are what you ...
It boils down to one sentence: "You are what you repeatedly do." Expanded, this quote has given me more inspiration over the past few weeks than anything else: "Get out and do something. Move. Interact. Explore. Breathe. Take a chance. Stop voluntarily wasting your life. Stop complaining and saying you're bored. It's your life. Do something with it. YOU ARE WHAT YOU REPEATEDLY DO." Really, I've always been the "cute" but heavy girl, and as I climb ever closer to 30, I'm ready to be seen as something other than the "chubby friend." So bring it vegetables. Bring it obscene amounts of water. I'm ready. I'm ready to be proud of becoming what I repeatedly do!

My Program:
Using common sense is a big one for me. No, it's not a good idea to have portions that are the size of my face. No, it's not a good idea to skip breakfast and think that my metabolism is going to start itself. So I'm working for common sense, along with a few other goals. I'm working to rid myself of soda, and only allowing one caffeinated beverage a day. Eating healthy and exercising three days a week is also on the agenda.
Personal Information:
I hale from Middle Tennessee, where I've lived all my life except during college (when I went to North Carolina). I'm an oddly happy person. Really. I smile way too much. I also have a deep seated hatred for pimento cheese. I loathe the stuff. I do, however, love peanut butter, which, sadly, is not the healthiest food to have a love affair with. I'm considering taking up with baby carrots instead. Or possibly broccoli. I love photography and catching those beautiful hidden moments that happen everyday. I also have an odd and twisted sense of humor, and I host a trivia night at a pub once a week, so I am a fountain of useless information.
