Hello. Thanks for visiting my blog with photos from our KY, NC trip. We enjoyed our stay in Daniel Boone National State Park although I wanted to do more hiking (too many stairs for DH). Despite the bear warnings, I went for a solo hike...my desire overshadowed my fear of the snakes and bears. I chose a popular trail, so I figured if anything happened hikers would be by in a couple of hours.... The Smokies are beautiful! I'd like to stay overnight there sometime and do some walking there.

I enjoyed visiting your blog where you document your volkswalking travels and photos. I visited the Grand Canyon, too, back in 2010. It is really awesome and I agree, no photo can capture its essence. It takes ones breath away. Did you hike the Angel Bright trail while there?

Recently I have become a leader of the RGV Spark Team which you belong to. Would love to see you drop in on chat or other things you find of interest sometimes. Dan had not posted for 60 days and Spark asked me if I would like to be the leader. I am going to ask co leaders to come in with me to make this a better team.

Oh my gosh, what a beautiful wall.
I'm referring to the site you sent me: http://gigapan.com/gigapans/3951
It's taking me some time but I'm looking at each and every individual section.
What a tremendous work of art!
Thank you so much for the reference. I love it!

The Bearathon route does go through Cameron Park. Here is the Google map link.

Last year's route started on Baylor University campus, passed through Cameron Park, then through downtown Waco and ended back on campus.

Here is the link to it for 2013, if you want to take a look. It has an elevation chart.

As I was searching for the link, I read that one student died running the race earlier this year. Young 20's. So tragic!

Hope you have a terrific weekend!
