I want to be healthy and happy!!!

At my biggest, I was 196 pounds. I gained a lot of weight when I got sick, mainly because of the medications. I lost 23 pounds before starting at SparkPeople, but now I've lost over 50 pounds!

I'm eating healthier and exercising every day. Prior to joining SparkPeople, I never would have imagined me enjoying such a lifestyle change - but I do. I love the challenge of trying to find healthier alternatives to meals and snacks, and I love to exercise.

My Goals:
My goal is to lead a healthier lifestyle. I'd like to exercise more and eat healthier. I'm hoping that SparkPeople can help me achieve my goals.

My Program:
I drink plenty of water every day. The only other drink I have is my cup of tea in the AM.

I wear a pedometer every day to track my steps, miles and calories burned. I record them all here. My new goal is at least 15,000 steps per day.

Thanksgiving is the appointed time
for focusing on the good in our lives.
In each of our days,
we can find small blessings,
but too often we overlook them,
