Food Journaling and Exercising My Way to a Great Body!

I am a former competitive athlete who successfully raced in two endurance sports. After 13 years of this lifestyle, I decided to pursue a career in education. I gained a lot of weight when I stopped racing due to a multitude of factors. I am now in the process of reaching my first ever healthy "non-competition" weight for myself. My Goals:
My goal is to reach 140 lbs through daily exercise, food journaling, and counting calories. By the end of my jourmey I hope to have learned behaviors that will allow me to maintain my new healthy weight and "fit for life" lifestyle.

My Program:
My program involves mainly two parts:

1) EXERCISE:
Part A) Get a total of 90+ minutes of exercise 6 days of the week with a combination of:

1) Walking Angus for 30-40 minutes and then an hour of intervals on my elliptical trainer.

2) Walking Angus for an hour and then 30 minutes of riding my spinning bike.

3) On weekends I may do a full 90 minutes of poolrunning or cycling as I have help walking Angus on those days.

DIET:
Part A) I will track my daily calories and keep to a 1200 base every day. Any exercise I do, I will add on the calories burned that is recorded by my heart rate monitor to the 1200 calories. I will then eat the resulting number.



Personal Information:
Nothing you can eat makes you feel as good as you do when you're at your goal weight.

Thank you for commenting on my photo. My 2 dogs are my daughters. I always tell my DH that I have to have girl dogs so I'm not so out numbered.
