One Grandma's walk across the country

I enjoy living and intend to do so for a long time. I enjoy spending time with my family and enjoy doing things with them. I want to continue to be active with my children and grandchildren. I don't want to be the old fat granny who can't do things because I don't feel well enough.

I want to fit in seats, theater and airplane and I want to be able to run up the steps of the Lincoln Memorial one more time at least.

I have walked across the nation twice that I have ...

I have walked across the nation twice that I have recorded and intend to do it again this year.

Thanks for your encouraging comment on my blog :) AN alarm! Now that's an idea! I used to know a man who would sit and read 24/7 and never even stop to eat if he wasn't made to do it. He set an alarm for his reading time and forced himself to stop the moment the alarm went off. I need to learn from that!

Yum I love bananas, thanks. Glad you can enjoy them again. I break my really ripe ones into thirds and freeze then in zip locks for smoothies. emoticon

Thanks for stopping by my blog!
I have worn a pedometer for so many years, and it is a great motivator for me. I, too, tend to have difficulty keeping one attached to my body! LOL!
My SPARK was a gift to myself, to help me be more motivated. I've recently had a large weight gain from medical issues, and it has been a struggle to embrace the changes in my body.
How wonderful to have walked the nation... twice! emoticon emoticon
You are such an inspiration! I want to be able to achieve 10,000 steps daily one day!
May your SparkJourney continue to filled with adventure and many blessings!
Peace be with you!

Hi! Hope you don't mind I've added you as SparkFriend emoticon and would be honored if you added me back. I read one of your comments on a over 50's Team Challenge and I just had to stop by and tell you I am SO impressed that you don't blame weight bounces all on sodium!! Once I got out of denial and owned up that it is calories overall, not the "dog ate the homework" syndrome, it seems I see it everywhere all over the place. So YOU are like a shining beacon of honesty! emoticon So refreshing. emoticon Since you don't have any blogs, is there anywhere I can read about your walks across the contry? Sounds amazing. Have a great upcoming week! ~Sandi emoticon
