My Goals:
I'm looking to feel better, regain some confidence, and of course simply feel healthy for the first time in years.

I need to "healthy up" if I'm going to withstand the rigors of a higher level of participation as a volunteer firefighter and when I finally make the bridge between volunteer and paid EMT-B.


My Program:
Eat better! Portions, servings, really watch what I put in there.

Re-find my cardio love. I used to be a cross country runner, it's time I rediscovered that love.

BE smoke free!!

Try and be more active in my spiritual life, as it tends to give me balance.

Full Time Employment at Superior Ambulance.

Yes, of course I have noticed that. Most of us have, right? Never enough money, and usually not enough time.

How's your Warrior Dash training going?

I've been doing Jillian Michael's videos. I really don't like her on Biggest Loser, but I like her in her videos. Paradox.

Duuuuuuuuude. I've been slacking off the last month or so. TOTALLY dropped the ball/fell of the wagon/let myself go/etc.

My 'excuse' is exams. They had me completely stressed out --to the point where I was barely sleeping-- and instead of using exercise as a DE-stressor, I just gave the hell up. NOT GOOD.

To tell the truth, I'm not even terribly motivated now. I really need help remembering what I'm doing and why, and who I am. I have even less excuse now that I've been working with my doctor and found out where my lack of energy was coming from (she's now got me on a PRESCRIPTION Vitamin D supplement -- yep, the dose is THAT high -- 50,000 units), magnesium and Vitamin B. Apparently, while my body stopped making D all together, it has damn near stopped making the last two, as well. Since being on the Vitamin Cocktail (in such high doses that a multi-v wouldn't do it) I am feeling LOADS better and my always-on-the-verge-of-depression is gone. I even feel pretty happy having to wake up early now and I naturally pop awake around 5. I'm glad she investigated thoroughly before putting me on a chemical medication I might have had to be dependent on for the rest of my life. KWIM?

I am awfully sorry to hear about your aunt. You were obviously very close. Are you coping well enough now? Did she live near you? Why did she pass?

I'm glad to see you, my old friend. Very, very glad.

So, what are you doing to be back on the wagon? Or are you still coasting into it?

Am I feeling the burn? Well, I got up at 0500 to do P90X Yoga today, so I guess so! Having a hard time getting to Spark People though, to record everything. I must get back into the habit. As it is, I'm swamped with the end of the semester and lots of papers due. *sigh* No excuses though, right? No. Excuses. :))

What's up there? Have you had your vitamin D checked? I got some interesting news from my doctor.
