30 Nov 2012 - Fitness is going great. Just about to compete in a 6.5 K adventure run. Still working on increasing my speed and also improving nutrition and keeping within my calorie guidelines.

30 Nov 2012 - Fitness is going great. Just about to compete in a 6.5 K adventure run. Still working on increasing my speed and also improving nutrition and keeping within my calorie guidelines.

18 Dec 2012 - Completed my adventure run in 57 minutes and wasn't last so I'm happy with the result. I'm now jogging on the treadmill for half an hour three days a week at 6.9 kph with two 10 kph intervals for one minute each. I do my physio recommended strength training sessions 3 times a week for an hour and try to fit in some walking or cycling on days when I'm not jogging. I'm pleased to say that the exercise is becoming much easier to get into and keeps me happy and motivated with my nutrition.

I am following SP as closely as I can; watching my portions, tracking my food with myfitnesspal, and increasing my cardio and strength training to help me get fit.

I'm 41 and live in Hobart, Tasmania with 2 kids and my partner.

Other Information:
I love reading, The Sims3, riding rollercoasters, and listening to music especially Evanescence.

I’m on day 11 of changing my life and this is definitely a difficult journey. I am not a good decision maker and tend to opt for immediate gratification and comfort. I am struggling with making mindful decisions about the food I eat or don’t eat. I am not doing as well as I should be in that area although I have consistently gotten in exercise minutes each day. I was looking for quotes to motivate myself to think before making any decision and these two caught my eye. I think the messages they contain are both so important to us all!
I hope you are staying healthy and active as we enter this new year of new choices and new successes.
