Shared Food & Fitness Trackers
A recent 40-something wishing to be stronger, more flexible and have more stamina than I presently have. Looking for long-term, sustainable changes to hopefully carry me into old age.
GOOD HEALTH is my very broad and ultimate goal.
EATING TO HUNGER and not beyond, to nourish and honor my body (some info about this here: http://life.familyeducation.com/foods/nutr
LETTING FOOD BE FOOD and not a cover-up, escape, punishment, comfort or anything else I might expect it to be that it can never live up to.
Releasing 31 kilos will bring me to the upper limit of "normal weight" BMI for me. However, I'm leaving myself open for that number to go up or down, depending on my health and overall well-being.
(Thanks to TRACYABELLE for the concept of "releasing" instead of "losing" weight!)
LOGGING my nourishment and movement and looking at the FEEDBACK and LESSONS LEARNED from my choices. Taking on a NO JUDGMENT, NO FAILURE - IT'S ALL FEEDBACK approach. Looking with curiosity at my EMOTIONAL EATING patterns and STRENGTHENING my ALTERNATIVE COPING SKILLS to the challenges I face, big or small.
Who am I? Well, a few words that might be said to define me... salsa dancing, friends, hiking, Sweden, Hawaii, Africa, ocean, beach, sun, warmth, nature, no TV, tea, cooking, fish, mango, travel, music, collages, movies, books, photography, conversation, writing, full-timer, commuter, bike, recycling, expat, family, nieces, fellowship, community, drivers license, no car, organic, dance, worship, thinker, deep, laughter, mindfulness...
My all time favorite movie is STEEL MAGNOLIAS. I laugh, I cry, I FEEL when I watch it. Every time. Even when I know exactly what's coming.
