Back To Slim

I don't update my main page or blogs as much as I should... But I still Spark mostly every day! Sparkpeople literally changed my life. My past is below this but these days I am living a healthy lifestyle with the help of Spark & exercising like a mofo... because I simply love it. I Bodyrock/HIIT/WarriorZ... those sort of things. I'd bodybuild if I had the free time but I don't. I work a lot, so fit in my fitness where and as often as I can! :)

Determination is set...

I used to be slim and fit, growing up. I hit 18 and left school, got a car and discovered freedom, all of a sudden I didn't have any physical activity whatsoever in my life. I always ate what i wanted and when i wanted, and i didn't stop this habit. I piled on the weight and didn't even realise what I was doing. I didn't even realise i wasn't 'me' any more. By the time I was 22, i had been over 250lbs. I joined Spark in September 2009, whilst i was still 22. Since then, i haven't looked back!! I have remebered how much I love exercise and sports, and have been eating for my body, not for the taste of junk!!!

A year down the line I have reached my second goal weight here at Spark of 160lbs. I have reached a dress size I never thought i would ever see again. And I don't hide from cameras anymore!!

I got married on 25th September 2010, I had a while out of Spark, half Sparking and half doing what i wanted - now it's time to get back and have a fit and healthy married life, and Sparkling along the way!!

My Goals:
I finally reached my ultimate goal of 138lbs after many years of hard work, sweat, blood (or not so much blood ha) and tears... It took like 2 years to go between the 140s and 130s!!

To feel wonderful about myself, clothed or naked !


My Program:
I am eating how I should be and exercising atleast 3 times a week.

Tracking all of my foods and exercise.

I am having the odd treat and meals i enjoy but i am using my self CONTROL to know when to stop and know when enough is enough!!

Personal Information:
I'm one of the minority on SparkPeople from the UK! And the North West !

I love hardcore workouts.
I like to jump rope.
I love the challenge myself.

Other Information:
I never have the brainpower to think of things for this box... i like anything and everything really and am willing to try anything!

I am so laid back i'm horizontal.

CrossFit is an amazing community and everyone is really friendly and just eager to share CrossFit with you. I did go alone and I've made friends (which is really saying something because it's very difficult for me to make friends). It's a super fun environment and everyone is really encouraging. Usually the people who finish faster find others who are still working and cheer them on.

I would say don't be afraid. It took me TWO YEARS to work up the courage to go- dumbest thing EVER! There was absolutely nothing to be afraid of.

The only scary thing can be the price- it's very expensive but people who don't go, don't understand what you get for that price and it's 100% worth it.

In answer to your question - yes, I absolutely didn't think anything would happen to me. I don't think I really believed any of it, and I'm still not sure I do now. My very strong sceptical side is fighting back hard!

Sorry to hear you're struggling with eating. Are you doing lots of badass workouts anyway? I'm sure you have nothing to worry about! I'm struggling a bit with workouts, not helped by one of my thigh muscles having decided it's never, ever going to relax again!

Hey. Sorry for late reply. Well IIFYM is a form of flexible dieting which allows you to eat whatever you want (no food is off limits!) so long as it fits your macros for the day. You calculate this using the IIFYM calculator which you can set up according to your goals. Carbohydrate value is fixed but you can tweak both protein and fats. Seems a great approach, but I never seem to have enough fat left over to use this principle of eating as much as Id care to! If you look up on instagram a lot of people create proyo bowls which consists of yoghurt mixed with protein powder frozen for a while and topped with various treats like a chopped up chocolate bar, m&ms, savoury snack etc. Ive tried this numerous times it is good all about sneaking the protein in haaaaaah!
No, Ive just started Zwowing again so far done about 5, but im going through from the beginning. Ive looked at 47 think Ill pass that one for now. Zwow 48 looks good, im up for doing that whenever you wanna schedule it in?
