I have been overweight my entire life. My highest recorded weight was 436#, on 10-16-2012, and I was basically bedbound. I was tired of not being able to leave the house. I decided to have the vertical sleeve gastrectomy on 02-18-2013 and don't regret it. I weighed 383# on the day of surgery. My most recent weight, on 02-26-2014, was 218#.
To become mobile again.
I am currently following a low sugar, low carb, low fat, and low calorie plan prescribed by my surgeon and nutritionist.
I am 43 years young, married, with three cats and two dogs. I take online college courses and am studying to become a Paralegal. I enjoy photography, social networking, blogging, and photography.
I had the vertical sleeve gastrectomy on 2-18-2012 at 383#. My highest recorded weight was 436# on 10-16-2012, when I started my medically supervised weight loss program to prepare for weight loss surgery.
I still have mobility issues due to degenerative joints in my knees, but am trying to lose more weight to have a knee replacement next Spring.
Updated: I am scheduled to have my right knee replaced on 4-29-14! I finally am accomplishing my goal to become mobile, again! :-)

Tina! Think of healthy living as a career. Make goal setting a regular part of your life. Become a permanent participant in sustaining better lifestyle choices.
