Run. Girl. Run

So I know it has been a good long time since I have active on Sparkpeople. It has mainly been because of my lack of a functioning computer. I wanted to give an update of what has been going on in the world of Rena.

So the first big change was the new job. I no long work in the fabulous world of retail (ha-ha). I now work for a t-shirt printing company and I love it. I now work full time, have benefits, and even a 401K. Downside to this company is it treats its employees too well. ...
So I know it has been a good long time since I have active on Sparkpeople. It has mainly been because of my lack of a functioning computer. I wanted to give an update of what has been going on in the world of Rena.

So the first big change was the new job. I no long work in the fabulous world of retail (ha-ha). I now work for a t-shirt printing company and I love it. I now work full time, have benefits, and even a 401K. Downside to this company is it treats its employees too well. They cater food twice a week (sometimes not healthy options) and have just installed a fro-yo machine. I’m learning to get over the hype and focus now. My main issue is packing lunch, if I forget I tend to order delivery and that equals weight gain. But my company does focus on healthy living and I'm starting to take advantage of it.

The next big change is that I moved. I moved to be closer to work. I thought this would give me more time to be healthier and cook and stuff…but I actually have been spoiled in the extra hour of sleep and have downtime after work. I have agreed to start a night excising routine with one of my roommates and a running regime in the morning with the other. This will be interesting to see and I will keep y’all posted.

Not so big changes and achievements include: I have quite drinking sodas!!! Yaaay. I’m not addicted to caffeine or anything, I just thought they were tasty and available. I am consuming more water and learning to be satisfied with just that. I have done another 5k: FOAM FEST! It was great, but I did find some of my limitations and I’m going improve on them. I am also planning two 5ks in October…the Electric Run and the Outer Banks Half Marathon/ 5k. Excited about these and I have plenty of time to train for them.

I have found that I my support group is way more positive than I once thought it was. I have currently started dating someone that is very active and encouraging me to be as well. I have roommates that are striving for fitness and push me to reach my goals.

I have a lot to be blessed about these days…and I’m hoping to make great progress in the future. I hope you all will follow me in my journey.

My Goals:
*My Goal is to be fit, healthy, and look awesome at the same time.

*My ultimate weight goal is to get down to 140 lbs.

*I plan to continue training and would like to run my first half marathon next year.

My Program:
*Eating less processed food and in-taking more lean protein.

*Some sort of cardio at least 4x a week and HIIT workouts 2x a week

*Water, Water, Water!!!

*No SODAS!

*Sleep

*Keeping motivated
