Well starting over again. I worked really hard this past spring and lost about 20lbs...then bought Halloween candy...well as soon as it is gone...then back to the NO RED MEATS and NO Corn products. Seems those are my triggers along with sugars..so NO holiday baking for me as well this year. Our grown kids are going to be gone or doing something with other family members this year so it will be easier on me to not feel like I have to cook. Our church does Thanksgiving dinner the Sunday before and we are designated to smoke the turkeys and hams so I plan to prepare healthy sides.
So more veggies, fruits and low fat meats and less bread and sugars.

My Goals:
I mainly want to get down in weight so that I can breathe better and do some of the things I used to do. And to protect the joints and the joint replacements I have


My Program:
I plan to keep my daily calorie intake at about 1300 and up my movement in cardio (dance) to 10minutes per day.
Walking at least 15minutes per day.



Personal Information:
I'm Barb from Arkansas. I am a retired (due to disabilities RA) teacher. I have taught every grade from K-12 and I taught over 25 years. I have a BS in Education and a MEd in reading. I now do alot of embroidery and I love watching birds and taking photos of wild flowers. I love flowers and herbs and cooking. I also love trying new foods and new eating places.


Other Information:
I love embroidery and wool applique. I do not like winters as I tend to gain more then. I love the outdoors but am motion challenged now.

    Thank you for my Christmas tree. It's putting me in the mood for decorating a smidge. I like your idea of bringing in some boughs to help with the Christmas "perfume."
    My partner had a manger that he really loved. I'm not crazy about it but I will put it up in memory of him.
    So boughs, a manger and a couple of candles will do.
    Hopefully my kitten will not do damage to anything.
    I appreciate your ideas.

    Lucky you! I love the rain and how it calms me.
    You didn't even have a slice of turkey? WOW!
    I went to my daughter's home and brought home made cranberry sauce and a sweet potato casserole. By the time I got there a bit of the sweet potatoes and marshmallows were on the car floor. What a mess. But... I scooped most of it back in it's dish and none were the wiser until I actually told them after they ate it.
    It was an enjoyable day. When I left for my daughter's I felt fit and trim. On the way home I felt like a roly poly.
    I've just checked my pedometer and it hasn't reached 1900 steps. Not good!
    Tomorrow I clean a gentleman's house so I should burn up some calories and put on some steps.
    Are you stitching anything special? From what I see your rugs [?] are wonderful. Is it latch hook that you do?
    My talent is reading. That's about it.
    Just think 4 more weeks and it's Christmas. Mine will be very quiet this year. There will no decorations. Quiet time is what I need to reflect on the last year and to see what I can do better in the coming new year.

    I did 10 minutes with Leslie in front of my TV. It just about killed me because I'm so out of shape. So tomorrow I will do 15 minutes [I hope!]
    My NP said that all my labs are good but I need to watch what I eat...no ice cream or chocolate and get my derriere moving instead of sitting in front of the computer. I certainly will try. I have so much to gain and pounds are not it!

    More veggies less starch. That's my plan.
