Aug. 19, 2013 ......... I keep coming back to Sparks and it's always here like a good friend. Yep, injured my foot and for over a year I've been unable to exercise like I need and want to (I could hardly walk for a while). I just decided I'd eat what I wanted. I did, but it stayed attached to my body and now I"m paying for it. Starting over.....AGAIN. Thank God for Sparks. It's taken me months to get mentally prepared for this journey. I've done it before so I know it can be done, just have to commit. Maintaining and not giving up is my problems.

October 2010 .....I started this journey originally in 2006 when I found Sparkpeople . I lost my weight(30#), felt great, but slacked off and gained 10# of it back in 3 1/2 years. What I didn't realize was to maintain my weight loss would take as much work as losing it. It would take a permanent lifestyle change. The weight wouldn't just magically stay gone if I kept eating like I always had in the past. I learned that lesson this time.

I've never really been much overweight (20-30#) to no one else but myself and the doctor. Having no energy and gaining a pants size with each child (glad I stoped at two kids. lol) it was time to shape up before I fell apart.

I was lucky w/ high metabolism until I hit 30. Wow...this is what everyone is talking about ! You mean I won't forever be able to live on junk food and chocolates? I figured that I'd better learn healthy habits now before the health issues plague me as they have the rest of my family and then I'll have no choice. Many of my family members are overweight and diabetic and I don't want to travel down that road if I can take the detour around it.

My Goals:
To be able to lose the weight.....again....but be able to maintain it. Maintaining is my struggle.

Exercising 3 days a week for 45/60 min. Exercise 10 minutes on 4 days a week.

My Program:
I go to gym 3 times a week.

M-60min- Ripped or Body Pump class (cardio/wts)

Tu - -

Wed. 60 min. Ripped

Thur. 45 min. Werq (dance cardio)

Fri spin or Ripped ?

I realized the gym classes is what keeps me motivated and I need that membership .

I used to love kayaking with family, horseback riding, and scuba diving . Haven't been in years. Life has gotten to busy.

    Thanks for adding as a friend..... I too need some much needed motivation!! Struggling with 10 Pounds that I gained after Thyroid Surgery 6 years ago!! Like you, I have been back and forth with SP......
