I am currently in training for 2 runs; a 10k in April and the Marine Corps Marathon in DC, in October. I will sign up for some other runs between the 2 as well, to keep me motivated. I exercise at least 6 days a week. I enjoy running outside but find that I run faster on the treadmill. Having these goals keeps me motivated to keep going to the gym and to keep watching my diet. I am starting to look at food as fuel...what a novice idea! LOL
Ultimately I'd like to be a size 13/14. So, I need to weigh about 155 pounds. I don't aspire to weigh 120. I just want to feel comfortable in my own skin. So, my first goal is 259, then 245 then 220, 199 and then 155.
I am watching what I eat, concentrating on REAL foods and getting in those veggies!
I am also back to running. Yes, fat girls CAN run! I love how I feel afterwards. Ultimately, I would love to run a 1/2 marathon.
I live in the beautiful, wet, Pacific Northwest!
My favorite books would have to be Harry Potter, Gone With the Wind, The Red Tent and anything by Phillipa Gregory.

Chocolate Peppermint LUNA's are yummy too! I have been eating one LUNA every day too, just in the afternoon for my sweet tooth. I think they are becoming my afternoon crutch! It is pretty bad when I am counting down the minutes for one! LOL
If you have a King Soopers or City Market were you are blackberries and strawberries are 10 for $10. The sale ends today. Love all of the summertime fruit coming in!

I'm so glad you commented on my question - I would LOVE to tell you how to find a Team in Training near you!
First, go to Team in Training (dot) org. (except type it in the right way in your address bar) or do a search for "team in training" on google or yahoo. When you get to the page, on the right hand side there's a purple button that says "tell me more." If I remember correctly, it will let you send an email to the person in charge in your area who will (if you wish) try to set you up with a local team.
I LOVE IT! They set you up with a mentor, coach and captain. TONS of advice from nutrition to fundraising to running (of course). WARNING: you will get HOOKED! Also, I am finding that I'm not losing any weight, but I'm totally toning up! It's great to have a FITNESS goal because I have such issues with losing weight, but at least I can see my fitness goal come alive and I'm ACHIEVING IT! Yay!

Hey lady, I hope you had a nice week! I am SO thankful for the weekend, although we are really busy. My son has a soccer game and I heard rumors of rain...isn't it always that way? We had 70's and sun all week long. Oh well, such is life.
