My biggest advice is to clean up your eats as much as possible. All the exercise in the world won't do much good if you're fueling your body with crap. Lots of lean protein, lowfat dairy, fruits & veggies, and whole grains. They say that 'abs are made in the kitchen', and it's so true.
It will be hard. You will want to give up, I know I did. But if you stick with it, you can do it!! And if you ever need someone to talk to, I will send you my messenger info. It's nice having someone going through the same things that you can chat with. =)
