It has been over a year since I last tracked my food and fitness. I have kept up my aqua fit program and regular walking but started to slip again in the weight department. I tried to loose a few pounds before going to Vegas for my 70th birthday and did manage to get two off. Of course with all the celebrating and cake I gained that back before I got home. Back to Sparkpeople I told myself. It really does make me stop and think before I put it in my mouth and I am feeling great getting back to my full body work out 3 times a week. I am working on a friend to get her to join - I know how it can help you stay on track. This time I started over with only 4 pounds to loose and not 15 like last time.

My Goals:
My goal is to stick to my exercises and cut down meal portions.
I am usually good at this time of year when I am home all the time but come summer and fall we are out and about in the motorhome and I find it harder to stay on track with my exercises and eating.

My Program:
I track everything I eat and drink. I find this really helps me think twice before I eat it! I have started an aqua fit program 3 times a week. Now that might not seem so spectacular but for me it is huge. I don't care for water and have not owned a bathing suit for 40 years! It is great so far and it is getting me out and meeting more ladies in my age group. Of course I have already talked about SparkPeople. I faithfully do my strength training 3 times per week and use DVD's for a walk aerobic workout 4 times a week. How long I will be motivated to stick to this is yet to be seen but I really want to be strong and fit.

Personal Information:
We recently moved to a remote small city and the change has had its good points and some getting used to. We moved to be close to our daughter who is our only child. I miss the friends I left behind but hope to meet some new friends here soon.
