Ginny's journey to better health

I'm 36, happily married with 3 kids ages 6 and under. You would think that being so busy would make you lose weight and stay in shape, but it's not enough. I really want to be healthy and make changes for my family that makes them healthier, too.

I just returned to college after a 12 year break! I'm really hoping not to gain that Freshman 15. I'm very excited to be back and am doing great, so far. I started the summer session at the beginning of July, so it's kind of a nice ...

I just returned to college after a 12 year break! I'm really hoping not to gain that Freshman 15. I'm very excited to be back and am doing great, so far. I started the summer session at the beginning of July, so it's kind of a nice ease back into going to school. I'm going to try to make it to the Student Fitness Center to work out as much as I can this year and take some fitness classes. I'm hoping to find a pilates and body pump class.

I think I'm going to have to start keeping track of how many people ask me if I ever considered being a writer or publishing a book! LOL IT's gotten to the point now where I've been called a philosepher and or and Anne Laners LOL Maybe I should start considering it! LOL NA I'm just me being me helping others to help themselves and myself to becaome the phenomenol people we already are.

A hearty WELCOME to Sparkpeople team Ginny!,
Believe me! You will no longer be alone!
You’ve most definitely come to the right place!
You will find that you will now make many a new friend!
All of whom are working hard to turn their lives around too and will be there to support, and motivate you! I wish you nothing but the best of success! So glad you have joined us!
.
And Ginny?

If there was ever a time to dare, to make a difference, to embark on something worth doing, IT IS NOW. Not for any grand cause, necessarily...but for something that tugs at your heart, something that's your inspiration, something that's your dream.

You owe it to yourself to make your days here count. HAVE FUN. DIG DEEP. STRETCH. DREAM BIG. Know, though, that things worth doing seldom come easy. There will be good days. And there will be bad days. There will be times when you want to turn around, pack it up, and call it quits. Those times tell you that you are pushing yourself, that you are not afraid to learn by trying.

PERSIST. Because with an idea, determination, and the right tools, you can do great things. Let your instincts, your intellect, and your heart, guide you.

TRUST. Believe in the incredible power of the human mind. Of doing something that makes a difference. Of working hard. Of laughing and hoping. Of lazy afternoons. Of lasting friends. Of all the things that will cross your path this year.

The start of something new brings the hope of something great. ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE! There is only one you. And you will pass this way only once. Do it now. Do it right.
Because…….

Your presence is a present to the world
You're unique and one of a kind
Your life can be what you want it to be
Take the days just one at a time
Count your blessings, not your troubles
You'll make it through with whatever comes along
Within you are so many answers
Understand, have courage, be strong
Don't put limits on yourself
So many dreams are waiting to be realized
Decisions are too important to leave to chance
Reach for your peak, your goal, your prize
Nothing wastes more energy than worrying
The longer one carries a problem, the heavier it gets
Don't take things too seriously
Live a life of serenity
Not a life of regrets
Remember that a little love goes a long way
Remember that a lot goes for ever
Remember that friendship is a wise investment
Life's treasures are people together
Realize that it's never too late Do ordinary things in an extraordinary way
Have health, hope and happiness
Take the time to wish upon a star
And don't ever forget for even a day how very special you are.

I'm petite too and trying to lose another 30lbs with SPARK help. Ladies in the 5'3" Spark team feel that we should eat less calories than the 'giant's if we want to lose weight and stay healthy.

Yea, another Bronco fan (or at least a Lynch fan)! Too bad they aren't doing so well this year, but it's good to see the kid (Cutler) getting some playing time in. Hoping for a win this weekend! Good luck on your journey to a healthier new you!

I am finding as a mom that I have to decide on a time to exercise. I tried fitting in the time and that didn't work. Maybe you can pick a certain time each day.

I'll let you know how it works for me. Hope you enjoy SparkPeople
