I started on Sparkpeople once before, and did really well for a while, but then I slipped into old habits. I'm still lighter than I was when I started, but not nearly in a healthy range. This time, even if I make some slip-ups, I am not going to bail out.

Fitness Minutes: 386

My Goals:
To get healthy.

To eat a mainly plant based, whole foods diet.

Stop leaning emotionally on food.

To be as active as I've always wanted to be.

To get into Nursing school.

To be healthy enough to keep up with nursing school.

To be an example of good health to patients when I am a nurse.

Lastly, and most superficially, fit into a size 8.

My Program:
Eat a mainly plant based, whole foods diet.

Cut out processed foods.

Keeping a journal to write in whenever I feel the emotional eating monster rear its ugly head.

Cardio 5 times a week, Strength training at least 3 times a week.

Building up confidence with one small goal met at a time.

Studying all nursing fundamentals (A&P, Microbio, Med. Term.) while taking other program pre-reqs.

Personal Information:
I'm the quietest extrovert you will ever meet.

I'm also a huge dork, and proud of it.

Other Information:
I love to sew. Quilts, clothing reconstruction, anything...

I also love to craft.

My favorite shows are Trueblood, Will and Grace, Scrubs, House, Ghost Adventures, and Glee.

My favorite books are The Southern Vampire Mysteries series, Harry Potter, and all of my crafting/ sewing books.

My favorite movies are Perfume: Story of a Murderer, Confessions of a Shopaholic, The Women, Practical Magic, and Pride and Prejudice.

Although I think the documentaries are one sided and trying to sway us, Supersize Me and Forks Over Knives had profound impact on me.
