I woke up from a diabetic coma and was in denial. I continued to eat poorly. I was hospitalized again with high blood sugar. But it wasn't until after my mother's death and me weighing over 357 lbs that I that I finally admitted to myself that I had to change my life. In April 2007 I started eating balanced meals with lots of fiber. I wrote down everything that I ate. I never skipped meals and I planned them in advance so that I could manage my calorie intake. And guess what? It started to work!! I lost 114 pounds losing 10 to 15 lbs every three months consistently. Then in June 2009 I started volunteering, lost focus and got off my program. I gained 5 lbs. And it was discovered that I had protein in my urine and had to have an ultrasound of my kidneys. They are fine but I was told if I don't change my habits I could die! That was a wake up call that I can never regain this weight and I must continue losing. In January 2010 I started my weight loss journey again and loss an additional 13 lbs. Though I'm eating properly the weight loss slowed down. I knew that I needed to exercise. I've tried over the years but could not stay motivated to do it consistently. I joined SP weighing 230 lbs. knowing that this is the answer. I have got to exercise and do it every day so that I can establish a pattern. To motivate me, I meditate by visulizing how will look, what I will be wearing, and on staying healthy and I vocalize that it is already done through eating properly, exercise and now the SP support and tools. My new me is actively manifesting. That's why my name is Victory.
