Training for a Healthier Lifestyle

This needs to be updated. I finished the Avonwalk all 39 plus miles and recently walked a Komen 5K. Took along break from training and need to start up again faithfully because I signed up again for the Rocky Mountain Avonwalk for 2011. With all this walking and eating healther, I was able to bring my cholestrol down below 200. Yea! Doing more yoga, it's wonderful but when my work schedule changes I fall behind. Stress, stress, stress the monster I need to get undercontrol, or learn to work ...

My Goals:
My goals are to be healthy and at peace. To appreciate all that I have and everyone I love. My goal is to realize that everyone I meet is a blessing to my being. I will gladly assist with others in obtaining their goals also.

My Program:
Not enough, not organized, but I'm not going to beat myself up about it. Walking almost daily. Yoga not daily so far, bike riding when I can. Going on vacation soon, want to relax not stress. Sleep well and exercise, learn to run and love doing all.

Personal Information:
Born and raised in Denver, CO. Most of my family is here. Adult kids and a husband. I can't forget my one grandchild, she keeps us all busy.

Other Information:
Still want to be an artist. love to paint. Enjoy reading and movies and getting together with family.

Progress has slowed a little this last week but I am on it and plan to continue. Life got in the way . . . darn! . . . but I have realized it and am now planning better.

Thanks for commenting. I haven't noticed any change in energy or how my body feels, although I have been happier and more motivated to do the healthy living thing. I think that's just from the high of trying something new and the pride in myself of actually going vegetarian. That's a HUGE step for me.

However,.... I fell off the wagon last night and had pepperoni pizza. BIG mistake. I felt AWFUL right after eating it and still don't feel that great this morning.

Thanks for the support on my blog. I got some more sleep this morning (day off thank goodness) and feel much better in addition to having lost 1.5 of the 2 lbs while sleeping.
