Completed Goals for 2009:
- start running
- complete a sub-30 min 5k (26:06, Oct 24)
- run a 10-mile/16k race in under 100 minutes (97:45 , July 26)
- complete a sprint triathlon
- complete a sub-60 min 10k (54:16, Oct 11)
- completed Cape to Cabot 20k run


My Program:
- running 4x week, with a personal and customised training plan!
- cycling 3x week
- strength training 3x week
- eating almost no processed foods
- growing vegetables
- drinking gallons of water
- having fun!

That was such a female answer to my credit card comment. LOL!!!!

Yes. She has a credit card. But we found out about 10 years ago, that her having a credit card with more than a $500 limit is VERY dangerous. It almost took us the full 10 years to clean up the mess she caused. She will completely admit this to all who ask, so I am not being a over powering husband at all.

So we decided about 5 years ago, that I will hold the ONE major credit card for emergencies. Then we both have one small limit card. They ask us all the time to increase our little cards limits, but we decline and keep the limits low. That way we can still sneak stuff on one another.

The main card though is for all major purchases, which have to be mutually agreed upon. My darling wife used to make thousands of dollars of purchases on a whim. Now I know she would not do that now, we worked so hard to clean it up. But we still keep the arrangement, because it works.

Unlike most homes, I handle all the bills, the checking and savings balances, etc... we decide our budgets together, but she busts her budget almost every month. She will freely admit she is a chronic shop-aholic. God bless her emoticon

Thanks for your comment on the thread about tapering before a race. Although my race is a 10K, my knees are killing me and everyone is telling me to take it easy - I wanted 1 more good run in tomorrow then rest for 2 days, but your comment on that thread - hit me...you are right, nothing I do this week will help me prepare for the race any more than I already am.
