Wow, this is really a cool site. A buddy of mine recomended it and I am so glad she did. I am 39, were has the time gone??? I have dieted most of my adult life. Total yo yo weight the whole time. Up until about 5 months ago all I wanted to do was get into a size 6 or smaller...then 5 months ago I had some blood work done and found out that my cholesterol was 240. Not now I just want to get healthy and Im hopeing that the size 6 is a reward for doing something good for myself and my family. I have taken up walking nearly everyday, and I am trying to make better choices in the food that I eat and trying not to eat mindlessly. I LOVE food and the whole act of eating, so this is a huge challenge for me. I set my goal to lose 55 pounds by my birthday in Dec. Oh yeah, I have discovered that I like salad without drowning it in ranch...LOL

I thought I should do a little update. Its really hard to admit that I have actually gained a bit of weight. It is not a surprise to me though for I thought that I could take the summer off from my exercise routine and still was I ever wrong.
So now that it is fall and winter just around the corner it is time to get busy. I will not be hitting my goal by my birthday and infact I am further away. Now instead of only haveing to lose 55 pounds I have to lose 65 pounds. But that is ok, I just need to focus and recommit to myself.
Thats the great thing about getting healthy,...there is no finish line, just a world of unlimited attainable goals.

My Goals:
I want to get healthy and feel great. I am using slimfast as a way to count calories and hopfully reduce the amount of food I eat at one time. I love to walk,so I am walking nearly everyday. I am adding a little weight lifting also. I started out weighing 194 and my goal is to weigh 140 by my birthday in Dec. of this year. My cholesterol I want to be well under 200 by that time also. I am drinking alot of water and eating more fruits and veggies. Also I want to remember to take a multi vitamin everyday.

My Program:
Using Slim Fast for calorie reduction.

Walking 5 days a week for 40 minutes each time.

Eat healthy foods such as veggies, fruit and very lean meats.

Be accountable to my self and my buddies here.
