Get Healthy, Get Happy

Looking to be a better me! I am mom of two. My daughter is 12 and my son is 5. All my life I was active and in shape. But for about the last 8 years I have consistently put on almost 10 pounds per year. This year I got up to 60 lbs over weight. (and 75lbs over my high school weight) So I guess as time goes by, one hardly notices the one pound here and one pound there - but then you start noticing the 20 lbs and so on... Not because I think someone will like me more or so I will look better to others. but so I can say to myself I HAVE DONE IT. I have set a goal and I have accomplished it!. So my goal is... to accomplish my goal!

My Goals:
11/21
Treadmil 5 days a week - 20 -45 minutes.

*Take dog for at least a 15 minute walk daily!

Start doing yoga

*Take every day one day at a time.


*Nutrition: Fruits and veggiges daily - less eating out.

*Participate in the next a 5K

*Participate in a 10K by January

*learn to cook better/healthier and more variety




My Program:
right now I am just taking one day at a time. Everyday I have gotten a bit more clarity and focused. It is working well for me what ever it tis. But for this week - I am do some kind of exercise every day and not eating out. Next week I will continue these to and include upping my fruits and veggies. That is my program for now :-)

I've been on the treadmill for an hour at ranging from 6-15% incline and speed between 3.0 and 5.0. I don't stay at 5.0 for very long! Also, there has been no weight or body fat loss. I'm frustrated.

How's your running?

Hey thanks for the comment! You can put pictures on your page background by clicking edit page and upload background picture. Then you just find a pic you like and upload it and it will tile it as your background. I hope you are having a fabulous week. I gotta hit the gym! emoticon

WOW!! Awesome job on your weight loss. 6.5 lbs in 3 weeks!! Your going to be at your goal in no time at that rate.
And you have convinced me to start drinking lemon water!!
Stop by the SP playboy playmates team and join the July challenge...I'm hoping to lose 6 pounds in one month and if you can do it in 3 weeks, maybe I can do it too!
