Fit by 30

I'd like to make some important changes to my lifestyle as I get closer and closer to 30. With words like diabetes and heart disease looming over my head, I need to make changes now so that I do not wind up miserable in the future.

Short Term Goals
Lose 10 Pounds by 4/28 (29th birthday)
Cut out the sugary snacks
Exercise for 30 minutes daily

Long Term Goals
Lose 60 Pounds by 3/11/09
Lose 65 Pounds by 4/28/09
Run a marathon

My Goals:
I'd like to feel healthier, look better, and enjoy life! Oh and lose 60 pounds along the way.

My Program:
I'm starting off very slowly. I'm going to try walking 30 minutes a day for the first week. Eating-wise, I'm trying to introduce more vegetables into my diet daily.

Personal Information:
I live in Austin, TX. I'm 28 and single with no kids. I work in the computer industry, but would like to go back to school and pursue a career as a librarian.

Other Information:
Love gaming, vegging on the sofa, hiking, and camping.

Fit by 30? I'm right with you! Only my 30th is in about four weeks, and my goal is to be HALF fit by then... I've been on here six weeks so far, and it's a great place with a lot of nice people. Welcome!!!
