I'm a vegan of 10 years and former personal trainer. I quit personal training about 4 years ago and got a desk job. I started eating out and stopped working out consistently and gained a lot of weight. People don't believe how much I weigh since I carry it well and remain fairly active. My health is good and like most vegans, my blood pressure and cholesterol are very low for my age but I know carrying a lot of weight is hard on my joints. I also need to be a good role model for a plant base diet.

I love to eat so I've never done any deprivation diets. I focus on healthy weight loss with exercise.
