This is 2015 and time for some new Goals, As I age, this year I turn 75, so I'm just trying to keep my body healthy, moving and full of energy.

Basically, I want to do 3 days of Strength exercise and 2 days of Carido. I have to walk at least 30 minutes a day on the treadmill. Walking my dog in a quick stride, about 2.5 or 3 speed. I ride my recumbent bicycle, for at least 15 minutes a day.

I really hate to be labeled and old person. I know I have some new wrinkles on ...

I know with time my body will slow down as I'm sure it will, but I will keep it moving and trying to be strong, as long as I can. When it does that I guess I will just have to put up with that label.

Thanks to all of you that send me encouragement. I wish you well and hope that you all reach your goals, that you have set for this year. I reliaze this years goals haven't changed much from last year.

Sparks always has some interesting suggestion and articles with different Helps and Aids. I love to follow their exercise plans that they offer.

If you are truly working the Sparks Program, I would love to have you as a friend and hear how you are doing on reaching your goals. I hope you will send me a note.

My Goals:
I would like to be able to do the exercises, especially with the large ball and be more flexible, tighten muscles, also loose some weight in the progress.

Cardio exercise
30 minutes 2 times a week

Strength Training
30 minutes, 3 times a week every other day.

Weight Training
(3 sets 10 lb weight machine
Arms, Legs, Stomach Crunch)

Weight:
I'm at 139 pounds

BMI : 25.6 (1-15-12)
25.0-29.9 (is overweight)
Goal Weight:

128 to 130

My Program:
I am Working on doing my strength training exercises three times a week, walking, Stationary Bike riding, Nordic Rider and Weight machine. My Daughter and I walk our dogs in a very fast pace almost every day. I Try to do the eating plan that I have in my program counting calories, with a balance of 5 Fruit, Veg. and Protein. Drink my Water 8 or 9 - 8 oz. a day.

I am a Texas girl, from deep in the heart of Texas, living in Calif.

We came to California in 1965, We now live just outside of Sacramento, Ca.
I've been married 58 years, had 5 daughters, youngest is 36 year old, with Down's syndrome she still lives at home. My oldest daughter, lives close-by, and my only grand daughter lived in Canada, and has moved here in April 2012.

In March 1977 we had a house fire and at that time 3 or my 4 daughters died, Bonnie, Tammy and Marilu. We are all Christians and we have faith, and plan to see our daughters again in Heaven, as well as all of our ancestors and those that have also trusted Christ as their savior. (John 3:16) In Dec 1978 my youngest daughter was born.

I have one Miniature Poodle named Silver, that has a long tail and two cats, Cleo and Farrah.

Id like to invite you to join in my challenge to lose 10 pound in Feb The goal is 10 pounds but really u do what u can. The decision to how much is ultimately up to you. i know some of us might be saying 10 pounds? WOW, that is too much! cant do it! But i am here to tell u i did it for 7 months straight, (lost 75 pounds) b4 i got sick with cancer and had dropped out for a yr and a half. unfortunately due to lack of activity it took me 3 yrs to gain it back but im back to tell you that with your help I can do it again. if u stay within ur calories that are alotted and if u track everything that passes ur lips u can do it too. I was never one that stayed on a diet before, for more than 3 weeks at a time, and then I'd get discouraged and dropped off. i lost 75 pounds just doing calorie counting and tracking to make sure i never went over. i barely exercised ...i am handicapped and i cant do exercises in the conventional way but i flapped my arms while showering, and sitting did leg raises, went up and down my stairs whenever it struck me to do so. i did very minimal stuff. the idea was to keep moving and i did that. so i know with disipline, encouragement and motivation u can too.. so i invite u to come and join me on my 10 pound challenge! emoticon emoticon

Somehow I missed your post where you introduced yourself back in January 9th. I am checking to see our active members and you are one of them this month.

Although you did not join our step challenge in January we will be starting a new one in February of which you are welcome to join us. We are striving to reach two and a half million steps as a team this month. You will need a pedometer, fitbit or Activity Tracker to record your walks, skips, runs or wheelchair marches if you choose to join us.

Stopping by to say Hello. I live near beach where it is chilly and foggy at night. 70s today and bad allergies, etc. Wind 35 mph + due tonight. Rain next week.

I hope Sac fog is replaced with sun and warmer temperatures.
