Baby Steps

Well, here I am at 43 years old - an age I used to categorize as "old", but now it doesn't seem old - everyone just seems so young! It has been 23 years since I have been unashamed of my body. Four kids and many stresses have taken their toll I am feeling my age + 20.

I want to actually look like the woman who is in my head, not the one who stares me down in the mirror, constantly nagging, berating and criticizing. I want to walk into a normal store and buy that cute pair of ...
Well, here I am at 43 years old - an age I used to categorize as "old", but now it doesn't seem old - everyone just seems so young! It has been 23 years since I have been unashamed of my body. Four kids and many stresses have taken their toll I am feeling my age + 20.

I want to actually look like the woman who is in my head, not the one who stares me down in the mirror, constantly nagging, berating and criticizing. I want to walk into a normal store and buy that cute pair of jeans or sweater, etc.

I want my butt to fit into seats again. I do NOT want to wear shirts that cover my butt. I want to be able to bend over to put on my shoes and socks without something in the way and excruciating back pain. I want to happily sit in a bathtub and not have to stare at my big front-butt, getting more depressed with each passing minute. I want a little black dress. I want to wear high heels and look awesome. I want to run a 10K and feel good afterward.

This is what I want more than anything - more than money, more than things, I want to stop hating myself.

My Program:
1. Start moving.
2. NO MORE SODA - water, water, water
4. Run a 5K in the spring.
5. Get back to the gym for weight training.

Personal Information:
I have deep faith in Jesus. I treasure my kids and my husband. I have a good career, love to do home improvement projects and travel. I also love to read. Other than that, I'm very average and perfectly happy with that.

Don't I wish!! I probably wouldn't be changing my status. lol South Beach was hardest the first day but getting better on the 2nd. I'm trying to blog about it every day. We'll see how that goes!
