Vali, I haven't seen you on the posts lately, and am wondering how you are doing with your meds. What did they put you on? I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you are having no problems, and life is good for you. Hug those beautiful babies! Joy 1920 days ago
Thanks for stopping by my blog! I'm so humbled that people can find inspiration in my pictures, but then I remember that I've certainly found lots in others. :) Together we keep the spark going! Isn't it neat how that works? 1972 days ago
Hi Vali and welcome to Surviving Cancer. We're glad to have you on the team. Feel free to post in the forum and chat room. I have a weekly challenged that I'd like to interest you in. It changes each week and I give goodies out to all who participate. Hope 1990 days ago
Hey there! Fellow spondy here. I just joined the AS thread on Spark, and saw your introductory post you made back in March. You mentioned that you were grateful to find a community of people with a similar condition, so I just wanted to let you know about a fabulous community I found several years ago! There's a forum: http://forums.spondylitis.org/ubbthreads.p hp?ubb=cfrm and everyone on it is helpful, coming from all different backgrounds and genders and ages and disease status. I post whenever I have a question or need support. I'd encourage you to check it out!
As for me, I'm only 21 but I've had AS symptoms since I was about 12, and was diagnosed when I was 18. It's pretty mild for me which is a big praise to God, but I'm still trying to find ways to manage the pain without medication. I was put on heavy NSAIDs when i was diagnosed to get my flare under control, and it worked but resulted in an ulcer. Now I try to stay away from consistent medication and instead am focusing on finding trigger foods and natural remedies. (-:
I hope you're having a really great day, and that if you visit the forum you will like it as much as I did! 2563 days ago
