I know I can I know I can I know I can

I'm 51 and it's time to get serious about getting healthy. Need to get back on the bandwagon, exercise and be mindful not only of what I eat but my stress and activity levels.

Onwards and upwards as they say..

I'm nothing if not determined (and getting lots of practice climbing back on the wagons!).

This summer's been an odd one; cool for the longest spring I can remember, then brutally hot and back to cold and warm this week and cooling down again. ...

My Goals:
I'd like to get healthy, reduce my stress level and feel less guilty if I eat something I shouldn't. I achieved my goal of getting a Bowflex treadclimber. My goal is to lose 20 lbs and keep it off through adopting healthier eating.

My Program:
Eating healthier; thinking more about what I'm putting in my body...staying committed to logging what I eat and staying active; it'll keep me honest... I have a treadclimber now so no more excuses.
Keeping track of my measurements so that I don't get too hung up on the scale.

Personal Information:
I'm 51, married and looking to get off the yo yo diet bandwagon. Am back on track with SP and hoping to get this weight off once and for all and keep it off.
Love to travel and stay active outdoors when the weather cooperates. Have a treadclimber now and am enjoying it.

it would be nice to stop in for a coffee (well, I don't drink coffee, but you know what I mean) - too bad I can't drive long distances any more - maybe when my heart improves I'll be able to stay awake long enough to do so again. I used to drive to Thornhill a couple times a month to help out Mom but she's been gone now since 2010 and I haven't been allowed to long distance drive since May 2011 - it took me 5 hrs to drive home to Peterborough from Mississauga because I had to stop and walk around so much because I kept nodding off. You would always be welcome too!

thanks for your comments on my photos. Unfortunately those steps don't always look like that but I managed to catch them when in bloom and the surrounding plants all doing well. I was looking at it today and noticed the dwarf irises on either side look depleted and I dug them up and replanted the best of them hoping it will rejuvinate them once again.
