I know I can I know I can I know I can

I'm 51 and it's time to get serious about getting healthy. Need to get back on the bandwagon, exercise and be mindful not only of what I eat but my stress and activity levels.

Onwards and upwards as they say..

I'm nothing if not determined (and getting lots of practice climbing back on the wagons!).

This summer's been an odd one; cool for the longest spring I can remember, then brutally hot and back to cold and warm this week and cooling down again. ...

My Goals:
I'd like to get healthy, reduce my stress level and feel less guilty if I eat something I shouldn't. I achieved my goal of getting a Bowflex treadclimber. My goal is to lose 20 lbs and keep it off through adopting healthier eating.

My Program:
Eating healthier; thinking more about what I'm putting in my body...staying committed to logging what I eat and staying active; it'll keep me honest... I have a treadclimber now so no more excuses.
Keeping track of my measurements so that I don't get too hung up on the scale.

Personal Information:
I'm 51, married and looking to get off the yo yo diet bandwagon. Am back on track with SP and hoping to get this weight off once and for all and keep it off.
Love to travel and stay active outdoors when the weather cooperates. Have a treadclimber now and am enjoying it.

Hi Ush!

This month has been great so far. I've purposely avoided the scale (until yesterday) and really focusing on my health and energy and lately I've had tons of it! So, I've been squeezing in early workouts daily and when I've had the energy I've done a additional workout in the evenings. But I'm gonna have to mix it up! We can do this!

Thank you so much for all the comments and compliments on my pictures. You're a knock-out! 51? I would've NEVER guessed! Just gorgeous! Like your statement says "on-ward and upward". I've been so neglectful about checking in via Spark and I've made so many excuses because of my slow, old, computer, but that's exactly what it is -- an excuse. I'm doing better because I like the accountability and "checkin' in definitely keeps me on my A game. So here's to another successful and fulfilling day!
