How about if we lobby Sparkpeople to have a beautiful cup of green tea as a goodie?

I really liked your blog about Japan and the different approaches/perspectives there in regard to a healthy lifestyle. I especially appreciated the 10,000 steps a day idea! I use the Walk It Out for Wii and an Omron Pedometer. At one point I was walking a total of 10,000 to 12,500 steps a day. However, I had a few disruptions and physical challenges, so I'm working my way back up to that level. I so felt better.

Thank you so much for the teapot of green tea! I can always use some more green tea! I just had two cups of it with my breakfast, LOL! I love yellow it's a cheery color. When I first moved to NJ and felt down before our house remodeling I had my husb paint all our bedrooms with a cheap paint that was yellow until we were ready for the demo and construction! It helped lift my spirits!

Are you living in Japan? I've alway been fascinated with Japan and it's culture as a child. I had a penpal from Japan but she stopped writing to me.

Have a great weekend!! emoticon

Thank you so much for writing to me and your advice! I have a friend who's a mathematician and also has kept off 70 lbs for 5 years, she is researching weight mgt so it's very interesting. She said the same, count every calorie that goes in your mouth. She said her studies show people tend to overestimate how much they eat.

I guess I am looking for a magic answer, it was SO EASY to lose weight at the beginning. I know on my weekends, I have one day I have a little indulgences but I didn't think that those extra calories may stall my progress, I guess it does!! Maintenance sounds very scary for me now.

Good luck on losing those lbs, I know you will!

Just read your blog regarding Japanese eating habits, it was interesting and I'm glad I'm doing one of them, I drink lots of green tea! Congrats on your success reaching your goal, you're just about there!

If you have any tips for losing the last 10 lbs I would greatly appreciate it. I"ve been struggling since last October, going up and down the same 5 lbs with 10 lbs more to lose. I'm not giving up but I need to figure out how to do it!
