2008:
Weight loss and strengthing.

2009:
Im going to start C25k this year, I"ll be amazed if I can run. June of this year will be our summer dive vacation in Cozumel.

My Program:
bariatric diet:

80+ grams protein today.
Try to get it all in with food but will use single protein shake for a boost.

Vitamins:
Iron, MVI, Vit C, B12 inj. Zinc and Biotin.

Personal Information:
Hello, Im a 39 year old ( holy crap almost 40 ) mom of two. Both college students. Im divorced and VERY happily remarried. We live in the Los Angeles area, pretty close to the beach. But Im never there. Thats one of my goals.

2009:

Spending more time at beach since surgery. In January it was warm enough to lay out. First time in many many years I want embarassed.


Other Information:
I have felt fat most of my adult life. But looking back I really wasnt. Unforunatly every year I put on alittle more weight. ARHHH it sucks! Right now I feel like my life is on hold until I loose the weight. There are things I want to do but being heavy makes it very difficult and dangerous. What Im talking about is SCUBA diving. Being obese put me at higher risk of injury. Not to mention its frickin hard to carry all that equipment around. I wont buy a cold water wetsuit until I loose ALOT of weight. So if I want to dive locally I have to rent a suit. A mens 2XL, is kinda humilating going in and asking for such a big suit. I dont see myself as a fat person. I guess Im a skinny person in a fat body.

2009:
Thinking back one of the reasons I allowed myself to get heavy was the denial I was even heavy at all.

Thank you for noticing and commenting on my recent blog!! I'm glad you're still hanging around!!! Three years - unbelievable isn't it? I have a hard time hitting my protein goal too. So I usually do a shake for breakfast, I find that the hardest meal to "eat". You look freaking awesome too girl!! I saw your pics on FB Hotstuff!!

Hey there Paula, welcome to Fibro Friends! You've joined an incredibly supportive team. We're here for your weight loss, fitness, motivation as we all live w/ FMS. Fibro does change losing weight & getting fit - but it doesn't stop us unless we let it. Even having a day full of obstacles & not letting it stop us the next day is progress. Make it a goal to make progress every day, even when all you do is 10 minutes of slow stretching in a couple 5 minute sessions. It will make so much difference.

This forum, including the Reading Room, is full of fibro resources. Spark's tools are fantastic, I couldn't do this w/o the trackers. There's so much to learn, articles and slideshows & videos, including Coach Nicole's workout videos. The support is the best part & it's endless!

It appears that you've managed to have a melt-down this year w/o gaining your weight back. Wow! That goal weight looks really good on you, Paula. Great for you, getting yourself help and doing whatever it takes. Also, great work for not trying to eat your way out of depression. I'm serious. It doesn't work. BTDT, don't go back. Keep moving forward!
