Hi! My name is Audrey! I am a 28 year old housewife and mother who has been struggling with being overweight (and obese) for nearly a decade. I used to be in great shape (115lbs and a dancer), but being in shape turned into being out of shape quite quickly after high school and ceasing the dance lessons that had kept me fit and trim all my life. Now that I am a mom I feel that regaining my previous healthy lifestyle needs to be a priority so that I can lead a long, happy, healthy life with my family.
My daughter is a little bundle of energy who often leaves me out of breath and anxious about everything that she can get into. She's super smart an has been walking and running since she hit 10 months, rapidly followed by her being able to solve all childproofing that happens to stand in her way of the trouble she intends on getting into. I cannot afford to not be able to keep up with her!
Recently we also learned we're expecting a second addition to our family. I'm still feeling a little apprehensive about it as it was quite a surprise. I'm really hoping to avoid putting on excess pounds throughout this pregnancy and even got my doctor's go ahead for a weight maintenance plan during the pregnancy, so I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that I can make it work out that way
I've been a member of SparkPeople now for longer than I can remember, but really started using the site and all it's resources this past October. And let me tell you... I love it! I don't know why I wasn't more persistant before, but not I have the will and motivation to make things happen!
Now that 2012 is about to begin, I am going to travel my journey in earnst. No more procrastination, no more excuses. It's time to turn my life around and be the person I want to be!

I have a wonderful husband and beautiful daughter.
Prior to meeting my husband I weighed right around 115lbs. (HS Junior) After meeting him and becoming "comfortable", and after having previously quit dance classes I shot up to 275lbs.
After experienceing an ectopic pregnancy, I lost a little over 100lbs, but I gradually gained it back until I was just under 200 again.
When I became pregnant with my daughter I lost about 10 lbs before gaining it back with another 15.
2 weeks after having her I was BELOW my pre-pregnancy weight, but then gained it back again, right up to what I was before giving birth.
I really enjoy being outdoors. I also enjoy reading, dancing, and singing.
I someday hope to learn to play an instrument (maybe guitar or bass).
I LOVE my daughter more than anything
