As always - Up for fun!!!
Wow, I updated this last October and everything about it still holds true. How sad is that. Except maybe I'm winning the battle with those last seven pounds - if I can keep them off. I'm definitely going to start running again. As part of my over all goal - To be in better shape at 50 than I was at 40 - is my smaller goal - To run a half marathon for my 50th birthday. Wa hoo!!! And my next, smaller goal - To get this weight off before the holiday, keep it off through ...

Stay tuned... this is going to be fun!!! This page is definitely in need of an update.... I'm still here - probably a couple of years later. Still battling those last five to seven pounds... I'm starting to run again so I feel hopeful. This time I'm also trying to do the strength training that supports my running goals. I have such a hard time staying committed to that part. Despite popular opinion, I believe we can have the bodies we want - regardless of our age - if we're committed to working for it. I'm working on that commitment.

My Goals:
Time to think about my goals again. I'd still like to get to 138 pounds and maintain that weight. I want to be able to run a half marathon in September, 2012.
My Program:
I try for a low-calorie, well balanced vegan - diet. My net calorie target is 1,000 or so (don't freak out - that's what happens in your forties!) I am re-committed to exercising at least 30 minutes every day. I am doing the coolrunnings "Couch to 5K" plan again working towards being a half-marathoner before spring, 2012.
Personal Information:
I'm from Maryland where I live with Rob the Wonderful. Our hobbies are - primarily riding motorcycles and cooking. Both of those things tend towards gaining weight. We're working on how to enjoy both and be healthy at the same time.
