Eat. Move. Spark.

Hi! My name is Stephanie and I live in California with my husband and two kids.

I weighed 281 lbs when I joined SparkPeople in September 2012. My highest recorded weight was 291 in May 2011. I reached my goal weight of 140 lbs in February 2014.

I have had a difficult time adjusting to maintenance. To date I have regained 40 lbs. I'm working on developing a more reasonable mindset when it comes to food (this means avoiding binges).

When I was losing, I tracked everything and kept within my nutrition goals religiously.

Now I'm trying to figure out maintenance. I still exercise regularly. I'm working on developing a more reasonable mindset when it comes to food (this means avoiding binges).

Thanks for the soup, I needed that, it's been another cold and dreary day. Hope your days are going well and sunny!

You don't have to start with a 20-lb. :) I'm just happy you started with a 2-digit number! I know a lot of people who start with 5-lbs which is a waste of money because you don't get anything out of it. You may find you want to get a second bell that's heavier for doing 2-handed routines eventually, and keep the one you have for 1-handed. You'll find you can do different moves with different weights. I can do one-handed rows with 40-lbs but the rest of the one-handed stuff I need to use the 30-lb.

Hope you love your new toy! :)
