Thanks so much for the goodie! I meant to answer this yesterday but got sidetracked. I'm doing okay. Grateful I can live alone, drive, and do other things. I do get tired easily, have trouble with my balance, my right hand has tremors when I do functional things, etc. But I'm grateful for what I do have. I fell 5 weeks ago and broke my left wrist and will have the splint on a few more weeks. So I'm typing this with the old hunt and peck method with one hand. Not easy LOL. I have been living by myself in Arlington TX for 3 years now. Weather is hot and humid but otherwise I like it. Away from all the stress I had in New Mexico. I am driving back there in a couple of weeks though to see family and attend my oldest daughter's second wedding. I haven't seen them in 31/2 years since I left in an ambulance. It's about 12 hours so I'm driving 1/2 way each day. I can't do those long drives like I used to.

I rejoined this because I got an e-mail the same day I had been to dr. and got a lecture on my weight again. So I'm hoping to get back on track even if I have to adapt some exercises because of my hand. I found a really neat gym about 6 miles from me that takes my Silver Sneakers membership and is aimed at people who have neurological problems such as strokes. multiple sclerosis. brain injuries, and other things. The staff also helps with various things such as certain exercises for specific issues. etc. They also help transfer those in wheelchairs to equipment. And everyone, both staff and other users, are so friendly sometimes it's like a support group. I had only been going a few weeks when I broke my wrist. It's a small nonprofit and no one is turned away if they can't pay. So awesome!

So happy to hear from you! I still wear the Sunny Girls t-shirt you gave me and think of you.

My husband sure likes the shoes lol - I actually bought them for him. DD says they are cute and wants to borrow them so they can't be too bad.
